About The Position

Hunter Agricultural Irrigation is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician II to perform intermediate diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance to automated molding and production machinery in our Clermont, Florida manufacturing facility. Essential Functions: Performs machine start-up, setup, and changeovers. Verifies correct tool and machine settings. Moves machines and installs redesigned parts and systems to molding and assembly machines. Works with production team members to ensure they are satisfied with equipment maintenance performed. Documents equipment repairs and maintenance performed to machinery and associated equipment, utilizing correct documentation procedures. Seeks to improve own skill level by participating in apprenticeship program, taking job-related courses, and attending technical seminars. Assists in generating and implementing maintenance procedures for molding and assembly machines and related equipment. Submits suggestions for electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic performance-improving modifications to molding and assembly machines and related equipment. May be required to work overtime and/or varying hours, as necessary.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum four years of experience in automation maintenance or related field.
  • Excellent mechanical skills with knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and electrical theory.
  • Highly proficient in the use of power and hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to read basic ladder logic and PLC ladder diagrams.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and associated engineering documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the ability to interact with members across the organization.
  • Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
