About The Position

Properly perform preventative maintenance, while ensuring a proper production flow, to the production lines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school education
  • 3 years related field experience
  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math
  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust odors, fumes, oils and greases
  • Ability to drive vehicle during the workday is required
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
  • Good math and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer (PC) skills, with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)

  • Troubleshooting any issues with Injection Molding
  • Optimize material process to create consistent product
  • Direct production operators on basic troubleshooting
  • Installing and removing molds from the press based on production schedule
  • Setup of molding machine including tooling and programming
  • Setup auxiliary processing equipment including robot, grinder, take-away belts, etc
  • Install water lines, airlines, hot runners, or other machine utilities as needed
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on machines in collaboration with maintenance team
  • Injection molding certificates
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawing packets

Responsibilities

  • Providing upmost care and maintenance for the safety and wellbeing of our employees and equipment.
  • Operate machinery and equipment used in the manufacture of products
  • Read and follow manuals, work instructions, master samples, process alerts and procedures
  • Inspect products for surface defects and flaws
  • Performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed
  • A clean, safe, and sanitary work area at all times
  • Participate in the audits and assist in the development of procedures and corrective Completes all related daily and maintenance reports
  • Must adhere to the plant's HACCP plans
  • Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
  • Troubleshooting PLC operated packing equipment
  • Electrical knowledge: 110 to 480 volt
  • Use of handheld power tools
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
  • Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager
  • Responsible to participate in mandatory safety training program requirements.
  • Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries.
  • Completes quality and food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Responsible to participate in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements.
  • Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policy Manual. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies.
  • Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system.
