We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician I to join our Moorpark, CA team. You will use your knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will utilize preventative maintenance processes on all production equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production. In addition, you will work with limited supervision and assist with the training and development of Junior Techs.

Requirements

  • Full ability to read and communicate in English.
  • Full ability to read mechanical blueprints.
  • Intermediate ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Basic ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
  • Basic ability to identify root causes and make recommendations for improved operation.
  • Full knowledge of safe work practices (i.e., hazardous materials awareness, fire safety, lockout/tagout procedure, hot work procedure, etc.).
  • Full computer skills to use Smart Maintenance CMMS
  • General ability to operate maintenance equipment (i.e., digital/analog volt/amp/ohm meter, hand/power tools, arc welder, plasma torch, machine tools – lathe, mill, drill press, etc.)
  • Intermediate to advanced ability to use machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders to produce metal and plastic parts including correct feeds and speeds by material type.
  • Intermediate to advanced ability to properly use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, indicators, pin gages, and height gages.
  • Full ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, twist at the waist, bend, lift, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Lifting of 30 or more pounds consistently.
  • Steel-toed footwear is required.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Use your knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Utilize preventative maintenance processes on all production equipment to maintain minimal interruptions to production.
  • Participate in LEAN activities, including but not limited to kaizens, RCCM, 5-whys, and A3s, to improve downtime trends and reduce cost.
  • Assist with the training and development of Junior Techs.
  • Improve skills and increase knowledge relating to the job.
  • Perform work with no supervision required.
