The maintenance reactive technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, whether electrical or mechanical. This work must be conducted according to safety, predictive, and preventative maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Fitesa’s business goals and objectives. Requirements

• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office
• Ability to use a calculator
• Ability to learn and become proficient with ERP (Dynamics), ADP, and other internal databases and tracking software
• Ability to read and interpret Fitesa product codes, production schedules, and operations documents
• Troubleshooting skills and good mechanical abilities
• Ability to apply basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to read and interpret measurement from a ruler, tape measure, or other measuring device in standard and metric systems
• Statistical Analysis skills with the ability to establish and audit against goals
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a team with other Slitter operators to ensure line goals are met; flexibility to help with packaging duties and/or other lines as needed
• Demonstrated familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment preferably of a large size, high speed nature
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills
• Strong organization skills with attention to detail
• Possesses a quality and customer-focused mindset
• Willingness and ability to train, motivate, and coach other team members
• Able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Familiar with air and water pollution control technology and federal, state and community regulatory agency workings
• Willingness and ability to learn and perform other functions in the plant
• Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties
• Willing and able to work flexible hours including rotating shifts as needed
• Possess communication skills to relate effectively with people of diverse background

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Perform a weekly checklist for machines and facilities
• Create Work orders on shift for all correctives and activities performed during the day
• Assist painting, carpentry, concrete, plumbing and masonry work
• Assist in electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures
• Assist in Basic HVAC maintenance activities
• Other duties, activities or responsibilities as assigned
