About The Position

At Homewood Suites by Hilton, the Maintenance Technician / Hotel Engineer is crucial for creating a warm, welcoming environment where guests feel at home. This role involves ensuring spaces are comfortable, safe, and operating optimally. Requirements

Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel, apartment complex, residential facility, or similar environment
Availability to work various shifts as needed
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
Excellent communication skills with a professional, guest-focused approach
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Strong attention to detail and observation skills
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., bend, stoop, climb ladders and stairs, and perform physical tasks

Nice To Haves

Experience with wall covering and wallpaper repair or installation preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain guest suites and public areas to Homewood Suites and Hilton brand standards, ensuring comfort, safety, and reliability
Diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently, minimizing guest impact and downtime
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support the extended-stay environment our guests rely on
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, always striving to “Make It Right”
Collaborate with hotel leadership and teammates to support smooth daily operations
Complete additional tasks as assigned to meet operational needs
