About The Position

At Homewood Suites by Hilton, the Maintenance Technician / Hotel Engineer is crucial for creating a warm, welcoming environment where guests feel at home. This role involves ensuring spaces are comfortable, safe, and operating optimally. The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver who takes pride in their work, is hands-on, dependable, and passionate about supporting exceptional guest experiences within The Briad Group.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Maintenance Technician in a hotel, apartment complex, residential facility, or similar environment
  • Availability to work various shifts as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced setting
  • Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including basic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
  • Working knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills with a professional, guest-focused approach
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., bend, stoop, climb ladders and stairs, and perform physical tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wall covering and wallpaper repair or installation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain guest suites and public areas to Homewood Suites and Hilton brand standards, ensuring comfort, safety, and reliability
  • Diagnose and repair maintenance issues efficiently, minimizing guest impact and downtime
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support the extended-stay environment our guests rely on
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, always striving to “Make It Right”
  • Collaborate with hotel leadership and teammates to support smooth daily operations
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned to meet operational needs
