Maintenance Technician / Handyman
About The Position
DARCARS Automotive Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Handyman. Eastern Diversified Properties, Inc. ("EDP"), a subsidiary of the DARCARS Automotive Group, is looking for a Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join their facilities team that services multiple automotive facilities in the Washington DC, Baltimore, Northern Virginia area. This person will be an integral part in supporting EDP’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and comfort of employees and customers in their automotive dealership facilities. A company owned vehicle is provided.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience with building maintenance or Handyman experience
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to coordinate a variety of different projects and on-going assignments.
- Ability to lift at least 40 lbs.
- Flexible with work schedule
- Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record with the ability to operate a truck safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment (i.e. HVAC System and Air Compressor Filters).
- Can perform basic plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Can perform basic electrical repairs.
- Can perform basic Handyman functions.
- Is involved with, and documents regular facilities inspections.
- Recommends maintenance initiatives to supervisors.
- Provides assistance to other team members.
