About the Role: Location: Onsite at a 160,000 sq. ft. facility combining manufacturing and office space About the Role: As a CBRE Carpentry/Maintenance Technician , you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the physical environment of a commercial building. Your primary focus will be on carpentry-related tasks, including: Drywall repair and finishing Painting and touch-ups Installing cabinets and shelving Repairing door frames and hardware Replacing ceiling tiles and other general maintenance duties This position is part of our Engineering and Technical Services team, dedicated to delivering preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and operational excellence. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs with a focus on carpentry work such as drywall repair, painting, hanging cabinets, door frames, ceiling tiles, flooring repair, steal stud work and locksmith.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs.
  • Work with available systems to manage and track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Report violations to Management.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
  • Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
