Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent desired.
Above average English skills, both verbal and written
Must read, program and diagnose Allen Bradley PLC’s, Allen Bradley Panel View HMI controls and have thorough familiarity with software.
Able to use a variety of computer software such as Winbuild, AutoCAD / Solidworks and Panelbuilder.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Able to lift 35-50 pounds repetitively.
Able to stand for extended periods on concrete.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in electronics or other technical training preferred
Minimum of five years previous PLC, HMI programming experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment preferred

Responsibilities

Works with Maintenance Manager to develop Programmable Logic Controller and Human Interface programming for production line automation.
Program PLCs (programmable logic controllers) for a variety of different applications using RsLogix500, RsLogix5000 and Directsoft 32.
Design HMI using RsView Machine Edition, RsView32, Winbuild 5000 and Panelbuilder32.
Install and program Variable Speed drives and Servo drives.
Set up and maintain Device Net Network.
Program motion controllers.
Design and lay out electrical panels.
Design electrical schematics using AutoCAD2008.
Support Cognex Vision Systems for production quality assurance.
Update and maintain electronics on existing equipment.
Strictly adhere to the Company and plant safety policies and procedures.
Assist line mechanics with die changes, electrical problems, and mechanical problems on the production lines.
Build new equipment either electrical or mechanical.
Consult with Engineering and the Maintenance Manager on new equipment designs.
Start up and program new equipment after assembly.
Interact with external contractors as needed.
Perform repairs on plant electrical components as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
May be responsible for overseeing temporary employees in the absence of Maintenance Manager
