Currently we have an immediate opening for a Full-Time 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician. The successful applicant will be responsible for the following: As an industrial maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Plastic Injection Technicians are skilled mechanics that install, repair, and maintain industrial machinery. They usually work in manufacturing plants or small factories where they ensure the smooth running of in-house production equipment.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of good health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts – days, afternoons.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Effective and targeted communicator with the ability to prioritize urgencies
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Push or pull with up to 60 lbs. of force on an occasional basis
  • Stoop, kneel, climb, squat, or crawl on a frequent basis in areas with limited space
  • Use hands to grip, pinch, handle, reach, or feel on a frequent basis
  • Stand on a continuous basis and walk on a frequent basis
  • Possess manual dexterity and good physical condition.

  • Maintenance: 4 years (Preferred)
  • Plastics injection molding: 4 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Serves in a multi-faceted role of performing preventive maintenance, fixing, lubricating, cleaning, and diagnosing injection molding machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment to keep it producing flawlessly.
  • The machine must produce parts at high levels of quality and efficiency.
  • Must keep the machine at optimal operation capacity by communicating to the Team Leader/supervisor/mechanic any issues and ensuring product quality and record on time are interventions.
  • Must assure product quality requirements are met to assure function and cosmetic attributes expected by customers through process adjustments on plastic injection molding machinery.
  • Records appropriate intervention reports.
  • Performs tooling, production changes, and tooling maintenance.
  • Understand, maintain, or repair water systems, plastic resin conveying systems, hydraulic systems, electric and electronic basics, grease and oil definitions, and compressed air systems.
  • Keep the working environment area clean and safe.
  • Being available for overtime and weekend work if needed.
