About The Position

The Maintenance Technician 3 is a senior-level technician with expert knowledge in hospital maintenance, responsible for overseeing and executing critical maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient and safe operation of hospital facilities. In addition to performing any tasks of Technician 1 and 2, this role includes training of lower-level technicians as well as assigning daily tasks to staff, coordinating with leadership to prioritize and complete work, and maintaining communication with the Supervisor and Team Lead, Director of Facilities as needed. The Maintenance Technician 3 performs routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on essential systems such as boilers, electrical wiring, power circuits, distribution panels, control circuits, and emergency power generators. Additionally, the technician is responsible for accomplishing corrective maintenance and additions and alterations to the hospital physical plant and typical mechanical and electrical plant systems and ensures all work requisitions are accurately completed and documented, maintaining high operational standards and compliance with safety regulations. The maintenance team is responsible for keeping the physical plant safe and always running and a reasonable amount of flexibility in tasks is required in service of that goal. Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings, nightshift. Must be able to be on standby call as assigned.

Requirements

  • Trade school or on the job training with a recognized service organization to include any of the following: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Boiler, Steam and Central Plan Operations or 6 years of experience in Healthcare Maintenance.
  • High school graduate, GED or 3 years relevant experience.
  • Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evenings, nightshift.
  • Must be able to be on standby call as assigned.
