About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Die Cast and other facility equipment according to safety, predictive and preventative maintenance systems and processes.

Requirements

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during entire shift.
Physically capable of lifting, pushing/pulling, and moving objects up to 50 pounds routinely.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Good hand eye coordination, manual dexterity (the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects).

Willingness to work early morning or early evening shifts.
Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
Capacity to take direction.
Strong attention to detail.
High school diploma or GED required.
2 years of manufacturing experience in an industrial maintenance role.
Demonstrated skills, ability and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial maintenance.

Nice To Haves

PLC experience preferred.
An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

Excellent attendance, focused and engaged.
Follow written and verbal work instructions for the designated job.
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
Perform a variety of simple plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to management.
Comply with safety regulations.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Other duties as assigned.
