About The Position
This position is responsible to assist with tasks relating to general maintenance. The Maintenance Technician 1 will work with the Maintenance Director to achieve a team approach to facilities and resource management, ensuring that all services are of a standard that will meet the needs of the customer and the organization.
Requirements
- General maintenance, building and construction experience
- Skills such as general plumbing, electrical, carpentry, automotive repairs, heavy equipment operation
- Possess a valid US Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction/general contracting skills including carpentry, painting, sheetrock, spackle and tape, basic electrical repairs, plumbing, roofing, general repairs, water, sewer, masonry work, HVAC, vehicle maintenance, and heavy equipment operation
- Provide guest support, assisting with firewood delivery and general grounds care, including mowing and weed wacking, trash/recycling collection, snow and ice removal
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safe work practices
- Promote effective teamwork in a friendly and cooperative work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed
- Ensure that Frost Valley achieves the highest standard and meets the mission and goals of the organization
- The employee must be able to work in inclement weather including rain, snow and seasonal weather conditions
