Follow all safety rules and practices. Perform preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components, and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels. Perform emergency / break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations. Accurately use measurement and test equipment. Perform electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other repairs and installations as needed. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Prepare and maintain maintenance records and other paperwork accurately and in its entirety. Trouble-shoot and solve problems. Willing to fully cross train in other technical areas to enhance capabilities. Use SAP for creating, logging time and completing work orders. Ability to complete End of Shift reports and email to leaders and management. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Complete Contractor Training and Safety Rules for contractors when new on-site. Perform and complete PMs on machines in timely manner. Research and obtain correct information for ordering parts. Attend outside training related to maintenance. Operate all types of hand tools (i.e. drill press, grinder, wire brush, acetylene torch, etc.) normally found in a Maintenance shop Able to examine and determine to what degree parts have worn, and repair or replace parts as needed. Perform fabrication of equipment (welding both arc and gas) to desired needs. Be able to make adjustments on equipment to improve productivity. Be able to identify and locate unusual sounds that indicate potential trouble. Be able to dismantle equipment to gain access to defective parts.
