About The Position

Leadec Industrial Services is a leading provider of manufacturing support services to the global automotive industry. The Welder and Fabricator-maintenance technician position provides support to the production line. This position also involves preventative and corrective maintenances in the manufacturing environment. This position requires additional employer provided training, certifications and onboarding time. We look for positive, team-oriented people who can also work independently. Employees' focus on efficiency, quality, continuous improvement and most importantly safety. This position requires strong attention to detail, quick response time and physical endurance.

Requirements

Demonstrate sound practices and methodology in the execution of the mechanical and electrical repairs of equipment, as well as any other assigned activities
Problem Solving - Define problems and bring about viable solutions.
Continually search for opportunities to improve onsite activities.
Ability to quickly analyze and repair both mechanical issues on equipment.
Ability to help train others on necessary skills to perform repairs.
Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.

Use proper personal protective equipment, i.e., hard hat, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, safety glasses, foot/shin protectors and any additional protective gear required for the tasks.
Completion of Standard Training Program, (or certified on knowledge and capabilities from previous training / experience).

Responsibilities

Using hand and air tools
Navigating heavy equipment
Conduct basic problem solving
Follow customer safety and quality requirements
Ability to quickly analyze and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment
Understand written job instructions
Use mechanical and/or electrical schematic, sketches manuals, specifications, and written and oral instructions to troubleshoot and repair equipment
Completing documentation of repair details as directed
Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively
All other duties as assigned by Leadec site management
