About The Position

We are looking for creative, dedicated, and outgoing people to join us in making Chief even better. Is that you? Currently seeking a mechanical/mechatronics tech to support plant production equipment repairs and maintenance. Needs to have mechanical knowledge, aptitude and experience. Mainly working on mechanical components with a few/minimal electrical involvement. Must have 2+ years of maintenance experience working on industrial size machinery, and mechanical knowledge/experience. Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Submit to criminal background check & Pre-employment drug screening
  • Authorized to work in the USA
  • Practice safe work habits at all times.
  • Able to be on feet throughout duration of shift as well as mobility and exposure to warehouse environment
  • Mechanical/ Electrical background working on industrial stationary machinery
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to comprehend all company and manufacturer provided documentation relative to all equipment.
  • Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control system use.
  • Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed properly.
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
  • Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
  • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
