About The Position

The Weekly Pool Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine pool cleaning and basic water care services to ensure pools remain clean, safe, and properly balanced. This role focuses on weekly maintenance visits, including debris removal, equipment checks, and basic chemical adjustments. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and eager to grow within the pool service industry. The technician will have opportunities to develop additional skills and qualifications for advancement into higher-level service, repair, or leadership positions over time. Work Environment Field-based role performing weekly service visits Frequent interaction with customers and team members Use of cleaning tools, testing kits, and pool maintenance equipment

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of pool cleaning procedures
  • Knowledge of water flow and circulation fundamentals
  • Ability to test and adjust basic pool chemistry
  • Strong commitment to safety compliance and proper handling of chemicals
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and perform hands-on cleaning tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in pool service, maintenance, or outdoor labor roles
  • Comfort working independently in the field
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between service locations

Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly cleaning services, including: Vacuuming pool surfaces Brushing pool walls and floors Skimming debris from the water Cleaning skimmer and pump baskets
  • Maintain overall pool appearance and cleanliness for customer satisfaction
  • Test pool water regularly to monitor chemical levels
  • Adjust and balance basic pool chemistry (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, etc.)
  • Ensure water remains safe, clear, and within proper operating ranges
  • Inspect pool equipment during service visits, including pumps, filters, heaters, and related systems
  • Confirm proper function and water flow operation
  • Identify signs of wear, malfunction, or needed service
  • Recognize and report repair needs or equipment replacement issues to the appropriate team
  • Communicate service updates clearly and professionally
  • Document findings and maintenance actions when required
