About The Position

Maintenance Tech Multi Craft (Claxton) Carthage, Missouri Plant on Claxton Ave Earn up to $34.88 an hour in 24 months 12 Hour Shift: Nights, Rotating 6pm-6am Night differential: additional $1.00 SKILLS: Must pass Ramsay Tests: Electrical and Mechanical Position Purpose: Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical, electronic equipment (battery powered & manual) and mechanical equipment 99% of the time independently decides what is required to repair equipment (Includes determining if parts must be replaced, maintaining equipment safety devices and using proper safety procedures while troubleshooting, or repairing equipment). This position requires advance testing for position. Position requires a 2-year commitment. Work with Leaders and fellow partners to ensure Food Safety and Partner Safety. Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to position. Perform all PCP and CCP checks required for position. Follow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality and customer requirement outages and by contacting TA/TL. Be able to identify and understand customer requirements and assist in assuring proper operation and product. Record accurate data on production reports. Essential Functions: Maintains complete familiarity with electrical and electronic equipment throughout the plant (includes electronic/hydraulic scale systems and DC circuits on power equipment.) Performs complex piping jobs such as installing conduit and control wiring. Designs, fabricates, install, and debugs control panels from verbal instructions, sketches, or blueprints and insures that designs meet OSHA and NEC specifications. Ensures that all electronic equipment is safe to operate and meets OSHA and NEC specifications, which includes proper guarding, wiring, and safety signs. Rebuilds complex electronic and electrical equipment used in the plant. Responsible for good housekeeping in area of assignment within maintenance departments. Performs major electronic modifications to production and support equipment as required. Read, comprehend, and follow complex trouble shooting instructions and identify parts from equipment maintenance manuals, Blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Ability to perform electrical trouble shooting on equipment. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow partners. Ability to use proper lifting techniques in order to work in a safe manner. Must be able to become power equipment (Forklift) certified and keep that certification current and ongoing. Must be able to work overtime as required. Must have a working knowledge of operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining volt-ohm meter, oscilloscope, chart recorder, and miscellaneous Shop & Maintenance Support equipment. Ability to test run equipment in all production and production support areas. Ability to use computer aided drawing equipment as required to develop electrical sketches and drawings. Ability to develop an excellent working relationship with fellow team members and with other plant departments. Safely operates power equipment within a confined cooler, warehouse, or production work environment. Maintains complete familiarity with production support equipment (air compressors, shop equipment, boiler and water treatment) and equipment in all production departments. Fabricates complex pieces (conveyors, equipment parts, etc) from items, sketches or blueprints. Performs complex plumbing jobs such as fabricating sanitary stainless-steel piping, air, oil, water, and steam. Ensures that all equipment in department of assignment is safe to include proper guarding, no pinch points and no sharp edges. Rebuilds gearboxes, hoists, and other complex equipment used in the plant. Responsible to complete all record keeping work such as work orders, material requisitions, downtime sheets, parts usage sheets, and miscellaneous logs as required. Reports and performs necessary maintenance requirements on facilities and equipment. Performs periodic inventory checks on electronic materials. Moderate skill for programming and troubleshooting PLC's. Performs electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on equipment. Other duties as assigned by TA/TL. This position requires speaking/reading comprehension of the English language.
