About The Position

The purpose of the Maintenance Technician position is to maintain and improve the production equipment. The Maintenance Technician will help reduce downtime by inspecting and repairing production equipment. This position will work closely with Engineering and Production to support line objectives. The purpose of the Machine Tech Level B position is to support the Maintenance Department. The Machine Tech Level B will make various parts using machine shop equipment. This position will work closely with Engineering and Production to support line objectives.

Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or GED from an accredited organization.
Minimum 2 years of KYB experience or equivalent work experience required.
Must have mechanical experience.
Good communication skills and ability to work well with other departments is required.
Must be able to maintain a clean and neat work environment.
Must achieve a minimum of 70% on performance and skill testing.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with MP2 is preferred.

Responsibilities

Major and minor repair of equipment, to include but not limited to: PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, 24vdc discrete I/O and mechanical repairs
Drain, clean and filter on parts washers as scheduled
Complete any required preventative maintenance and scheduled work
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, MP2 and etc. is preferred
Good documentation skills required
Other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor or Manager on as needed basis
Refer to the most updated applicable skills matrix: must achieve a minimum performance score of 75%
Perform minor repair of equipment, to include but not limited to: fabricating and installing safety guards and safety fencing
Ability to be certified and maintain certificate as a fork truck operator
Complete any required preventative maintenance and scheduled work orders
Perform MIG welding
Perform various fabrications as requested
Ability to operate and hold tolerances on surface grinder, Mill, Lathe, Drill press, etc
Ability to read and understand blue prints
Refer to the most updated skill matrix: must achieve a minimum performance score of 70%
