OVERVIEW: DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Maintenance Tech III to join our distribution center team in East Point, GA. Shift: 1A Monday-Thursday 5:30am - 4:00pm Facilities Maintenance Execute advanced preventive maintenance on MHE systems, conveyors, sorters, balers, dock doors/levelers, HVAC, and other facility systems. Utilize CMMS system to track all activities during PMs and reactive repairs, including LOTO, parts utilization, and work documentation including photos and comments related to the work performed Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair on all MHE systems including mechanical, electrical, and controls systems Training and development Mentor the Maintenance Tech I and Tech II teammates through hands-on training and technical guidance Assist with planning and execution of 1 on 1 training, onsite vendor training, and offsite technical training to develop a strong maintenance team that can support operational SLAs Inventory Control Manage spare parts procurement and optimize inventory levels using data analytics. Ensure spare parts accuracy utilizing CMMS program and physical verification during spot checks and cycle counts Automation and strategic planning Lead the team in programming, troubleshooting and replacement of VFDs and PLC components for all MHE equipment Partner with leadership on capital projects for system upgrades, continuous improvements, and automation withing the Distribution network CMMS Utilization Utilize CMMS system to assign and track all activities during PMs and reactive repairs, including LOTO, parts utilization, and work documentation including photos and comments related to the work performed Generate reports for Maintenance leadership on performance metrics and conveyor uptime Safety Ensure safety and compliance by performing safety audits on all equipment and systems on a regular basis according to OSHA standards Lead initiatives to improve the safety culture within the maintenance team Follow OSHA/NFPA regulations and company safety protocols at all times relating to items such as LOTO, arc flash, and wearing proper PPE Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills utilizing wiring diagrams, schematics, and associated tools such as meters and gauges
  • Advanced understanding of all MHE controls and HMI’s along with AC/DC systems, VFDs, drives, etc.
  • Able to read & understand electrical, mechanical, and building type drawings/schematics in both CAD and printed format
  • Expert/trainer level skills for troubleshooting and installing electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work alternate shifts to train and support other teammates
  • Experience with LOTO

Responsibilities
