The Maintenance Technician II performs a wide range of intermediate to advanced maintenance, repair, and preventive tasks that support the safe and reliable operation of healthcare facilities. Working under limited supervision, this role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting building systems-including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety components-to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The Maintenance Technician II demonstrates a higher level of technical competence and problem-solving ability than a Technician I, performing complex work independently while supporting skilled trades and contractors with system installations, upgrades, and commissioning. This position plays an active role in sustaining the organization's Environment of Care by maintaining operational integrity, safety, and comfort in all patient care and support areas, consistent with the requirements of authorities having jurisdiction.
