About The Position

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and operational support for Thermoform and Extrusion Processing and Packaging equipment at Hickmans Egg Ranch. This role involves working with high-speed production equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting production operations. The ideal candidate has basic mechanical and electrical skills, communicates effectively, and is motivated to contribute to a team-driven environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in industrial maintenance, with mechanical and electrical skills for troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience with hand tools and the ability to bring and maintain a personal toolset.
• Strong organizational skills to manage parts inventory and documentation.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate machine demands and production schedules.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work around machinery for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access and maintain equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Basic electrical knowledge and skills are a plus.
• Machining experience is a plus.
• Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed (experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment startup, repairs, and maintenance on Thermoform and Extrusion Processing and Packaging machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed production equipment, including PLC/PC controls, servo motors, VF drives, and precision mechanical components.
• Complete equipment installations, demos, and fabrication projects as needed.
• Communicate technical issues effectively and seek support or guidance when required.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance (PM) activities in alignment with maintenance schedules.
• Order and maintain necessary parts and supplies to support repairs and equipment uptime.
• Operate electric forklifts and pallet jacks, as needed (experience is a plus).
