About The Position

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
  • Certification in a trade and two to four years experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Two or more years as a Maintenance Technician I or a combination of education/experience
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Valid Missouri Gaming license.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification.
  • Must complete all required company training
  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and all levels of employees.
  • Ability to work in a brightly lit, smoke filled casino environment with above average noise levels.
  • Availability to work 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, varied work schedules and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
  • Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.
  • Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Friendly - Use customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to provide superior guest service.
  • Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
  • Interact with all guests and employees, and demonstrate resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
  • Responsible for general maintenance of all facilities on property and the property itself.
  • Identify the need for and perform Mid-level to advanced level Painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects relating to maintenance of the property.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
  • Operate all types of hand tools, power tools, and machinery that relate to the function of a maintenance shop. Chemicals used in maintenance. Ladders, forklift, and safety equipment.
  • Smooth surfaces, using sand paper, brushes or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blow torch to prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Painter II is skilled at installing, taping , mudding and finishing drywall , both existing and new construction
  • Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler using a caulking gun and putty knife.
  • Install and finish flooring including, but not limited to ceramic tile, laminate flooring, carpet, and carpet squares.
  • Install professional faux brick and stone wall finishes, including backer board, cement and grout or mortar.
  • Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions. Knowledge of required standards and safety requirements. Knowledge of personal protective equipment. Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
