Job Requirements: Engage in repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, equipment and in maintenance of buildings, grounds and utility systems of a manufacturing plant or other establishment by performing the following duties personally or through other subordinates.

Requirements

Education: Vocational Technical Degree in plant maintenance minimum or 5+ years minimum experience in plant maintenance
Certificates, Licenses, Registration: Forklift, NEC Electrical
Have experience with the following: Hydraulics electrical wiring (110, 220, 480) water pumps industrial burners tig welding, stick welding, and mig welding industrial air compressors carpentry skills knowledge of gas applications.
Qualified electrician is beneficial

Responsibilities

Works on work order requests from production floor and determines priority
Follows all safety and good manufacturing processes
Communicate to production and quality assurance equipment break downs and estimated time needed to complete repairs.
Communicate updates to incoming maintenance personnel on status of break downs, repairs and troubleshooting done during the previous shift.
Observes and listens to sounds of mechanical devices in operation to locate any signs of trouble.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Repairs or replaces effective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery.
Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, saws and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
Repairs electrical equipment, including PC controllers.
Maintains a flexible schedule to accommodate variable shifts from 8 – 12 hrs. depending on maintenance workload.
Available for on - call status.
Participates and trains with the Safety Team.
Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
