Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills, diagnosing issues with mechanical systems, electronics, circuits, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills to identify root causes quickly and efficiently in high-demand automated environments
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and solve unexpected mechanical or software issues
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, manuals, and technical drawings
  • Experience assisting with installation, configuration, and deployment of automated equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering or Automation Degree or related certifications
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • 2+ years of experience with automated equipment or robotics
  • Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HMIs, robot controllers, and automated logic
  • OSHA safety training certifications

Responsibilities

  • Comply with, enforce, and actively promote all safety and LOTO protocols, OSHA standards and facility policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems including motors, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and manual and automated equipment.
  • Operate and maintain a wide range of tools and equipment including forklifts, scissor lifts, power tools, and hand tools.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, drain cleanout equipment, and related systems.
  • Operate and maintain battery-changing equipment and chargers, including changing, watering, cleaning, and servicing industrial batteries.
  • Perform electrical maintenance tasks including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of motors, lighting systems, outlets, switches, and conduit.
  • Conduct general facility maintenance including plumbing, welding/fabrication, carpentry, drywall repair, soldering, and minor construction tasks.
  • Fabricate custom parts, fixtures, brackets, and supports to meet production and facility requirements.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (TPM) on critical systems including HVAC, air compressors, water systems, and ventilation equipment.
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, manage work orders, and track inventory and MRO parts.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 6S, lean manufacturing, and energy efficiency projects.
  • Perform routine building inspections and execute preventive and corrective maintenance to address facility-related issues promptly including rack/structural repair and replacement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, and layout changes.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining compliance with budgetary constraints and operational requirements.
  • Escort, monitor, and aid service vendors to ensure service level visibility.
  • Support operations in Emergency Response situations, ensuring clear and concise direction and communication to ensure safety of associates and efficiency of operations.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of robotic systems, automated machinery, and related equipment.
  • Assist with installation, setup, and deployment of new robots, conveyors automated storage systems, and control components.
  • Quickly respond to automated system faults or emergency breakdowns to minimize operational downtime.
  • Collaborate with WCS, IT, Operations, and support teams with system integration, troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving systemic failures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
