About The Position

The Maintenance Technician II role at UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all facility and building systems. The position also requires completing specialized repairs in areas of technical expertise and carrying out general tasks for the maintenance and upkeep of the campus. A key aspect of this role is assisting with the operation of the Central Utility Plant, which includes interacting with the Building Automation System (BAS), Boilers, Chillers, Air Handling Units (AHU's), and other critical systems throughout the facility. This is a full-time night position located in the Central Utility Plant at the Main Campus, with on-site parking available.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Three years' experience in building trades or maintenance-focused role
Must possess a valid Vermont driver’s license and safe driving record

Nice To Haves

State Journeyman's License in one of the following trades: Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry or a Class III (NIULPE / ASOPE) license preferred
In place of licensure, a comparative and cumulative number of years' experience in a related trade may be considered. Examples of such are HVAC, Refrigeration, and/or experience in excess of three years in the building trades
