About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Technician 2. Founded in 1986, OnTrac has evolved into the leading provider of same-day and next-day delivery services in the U.S. for premier e-commerce and product-supply businesses, including five of the largest retailers in the U.S. The Fleet Maintenance Technician II will ensure all fleet trailing equipment is inspected, maintained, and repaired in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as company standards and will ensure a safe working environment for all. OnTrac believes in safety first, making this role one of the most important roles in the company.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
3+ years related experience and/or training in mechanical setting, or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
Proven experience as a semi-trailer maintenance technician required
Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties.
Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24 hour operations; occasionally work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program.
Maintain, and provide routine preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to fleet trailing equipment.
Work with Safety department leadership to understand and ensure that all safety programs and procedures are followed.
May be required to use personal vehicle or Company vehicle to conduct business for the company.
Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.
Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned.
