About The Position

With continual growth comes opportunity and Sargent has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Tech I – Janitor. Position Summary: Performs maintenance tasks assigned by the Maintenance Lead.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
A minimum of one year’s experience performing similar work involving the use of various cleaning chemicals.
A good working knowledge of cleaning methods, tools, materials, and equipment used in maintenance, repair, operation of public, private and/or business facilities.
Adaptability, communication, customer focus, decision making, dependability, initiative, interpersonal skills, job knowledge, judgment, personal organization, productivity, quality, and teamwork.
Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of this position.
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

Receives work assignments from Maintenance Lead persons.
Performs the cleaning and maintenance of restrooms, offices, public areas, break rooms and cafeteria.
Maintains, and insures a clean and orderly work area and that all maintenance actions are accomplished in a safe manner.
Ensure all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled for proper disposal.
Other duties as assigned.
