Maintenance Team Leaders will be knowledgeable of all aspects of maintenance including: installation, repairs, and preventative maintenance of all machines and equipment within the manufacturing facility. Additionally, this position must have knowledge of basic electrical, and also must be able to read and understand blueprints and hydraulic systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Education degree (GED); vocational school; demonstrated mechanical ability; six or more months related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Must have knowledge of industrial electricity, pipefitting, water, gas air, and hydraulic lines.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatics.
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Good hand-eye coordination is essential.
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds.
  • Must work near moving mechanical parts, and occasionally in outside weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance on all facilities equipment and installations.
  • Lead and support the maintenance team members in their daily performance and activities
  • Train, develop and mentor maintenance staff to include new hire training and development
  • Monitor and drive team projects or tasks according to Maintenance Manager's direction when required
  • Identify, report and resolve necessary improvements for the department
  • Maintenance and repair of machinery and building.
  • Checking, recording, and performance of preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of the safe use and care of tools.
  • Knowledge and use of lock out / tag out procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic industrial electricity high and low voltage AC/DC.
  • Maintenance and repair of water, gas, air, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Practice good housekeeping.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Staff are informed and held accountable for their food safety and regulatory responsibilities;
  • Staff are positively encouraged and required to notify management of actual or potential food safety issues; and
  • Staff are empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work.
