About The Position

Dynamic Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee our maintenance team. This position offers an opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership skills to drive maintenance excellence and continuous improvement. The Maintenance Technician Lead provides direction to other maintenance technicians, leads the preventative maintenance program, and supports the maintenance supervisor or manager in their absence. They are responsible for root cause analysis, parts sourcing, leading cost improvement projects, and providing training to lower-level technicians. Requirements

  • Expertise in troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to provide direction and guidance to other maintenance technicians.
  • Proficiency in CMMS management, predictive maintenance tools, and project management.
  • Technical certificate or degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with maintenance activities, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to other maintenance technicians on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and task prioritization, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Lead the preventative maintenance program, scheduling and overseeing maintenance tasks to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Serve as a backup for the maintenance supervisor or manager when they are absent, ensuring continuity of operations and effective leadership.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for the majority of maintenance issues, identifying underlying problems and implementing effective solutions.
  • Source parts and suppliers, leveraging industry knowledge and networks to secure high-quality components at competitive prices.
  • Lead cost improvement projects, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within the maintenance department.
  • Provide assistance and training to lower-level technicians, improving training methods and enhancing team performance.
  • Update CMMS and work instructions/procedures, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance tools to collect data, analyze trends, and make recommendations for optimizing equipment performance and reliability.
  • Possess a technical certificate or degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, demonstrating a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance supervisor or manager to develop and implement maintenance strategies that support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process improvements and best practices to enhance maintenance operations.
