About The Position

The Maintenance Support role is critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of facilities within the administrative, support, waste management, and remediation services industry. This position focuses on providing timely and effective maintenance assistance to prevent equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of machinery and infrastructure. The role involves coordinating with various teams to address maintenance needs, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions promptly. By maintaining a safe and functional work environment, the Maintenance Support professional contributes directly to operational continuity and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, this position supports the organization's mission by enhancing productivity and minimizing disruptions through proactive maintenance practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience in a maintenance or support role within an industrial or facilities environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and safety guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical fields.
• Experience working in the waste management or environmental remediation industry.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• First aid and OSHA safety training certifications.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities to identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or structural problems as they arise.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to schedule and oversee repair work and ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and inventory of spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance operations to promote a safe working environment.
