About The Position

As a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll own the health and performance of our facility and equipment, partnering with department managers, vendors, and suppliers to keep operations running seamlessly. This position provides exceptional service to our customers and directs a culture of continuous improvement, shapes best practices, and drives accountability.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years’ progressive facilities maintenance experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of supervisory experience are strongly preferred.
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor service agreements.
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and Workers’ Compensation regulations
  • Experience managing facilities and/or equipment maintenance in a construction, distribution, manufacturing, or fleet maintenance setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to facilitate training for associates on company safety and compliance expectations.
  • Must demonstrate collaborative leadership skills to influence and manage change to assist with on team projects.
  • High School Diploma/ GED Required
  • Hands-on leader accustomed to actively participating in maintenance activities as needed, who brings a strong mechanical aptitude

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel occasionally and flexibility to work different schedules as business needs arise is required. (Must be comfortable working on your feet 6-8 hours a day)
  • Solid judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience writing detailed policies and procedures and process flow documents.
  • Familiarity with LEAN methodologies and a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Must be comfortable lifting 25-50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with robotics is a plus – familiarity with Geek+ and Exotec systems
  • Expertise in warehouse automation and extensive knowledge of conveyors are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manages all facility maintenance and equipment repairs by overseeing vendors and contractors to minimize downtime.
  • Coach and develop approximately 5-8 associates by setting clear expectations, providing meaningful feedback, and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Directly responsible for the MHE fleet and packaging equipment for the location
  • Drive cost savings and operational excellence by monitoring vendor performance, including spotting trends, documenting variances, and evaluating maintenance vendors for MHE and all other equipment
  • Play a key role in strategic decision-making by developing recommendations for purchases, including facility supplies and services.
  • Lead vendor sourcing from start to finish – soliciting proposals, evaluating bids, and negotiating agreements with service providers.
  • Manages all service vendors to ensure compliance with service agreements and promptly manages shortfalls.
  • Champion a safe workplace by ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and all Saddle Creek policies and procedures regarding safety policies and procedures.
  • Lead associate training programs covering safety, security, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Keep all Material Safety Data Sheets up to date for chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • Performs regular safety inspections, audits, and checks, including security, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, riser dump valves, pump testing and system maintenance.
