About The Position

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor will execute reliability, maintenance, and repair activities for production equipment, building and grounds to ensure maximum operational productivity and efficiencies are achieved, and assets are maintained. This is a hands-on position requiring a high degree of technical expertise. The Maintenance Supervisor will be directly involved in performing CAPX projects, preventative maintenance and repair work - as needed - to train and supplement the team. Location: 85 West Army Trail Road, Glendale Heights, IL Schedule: 5-day work week Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00pm to 10:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday Overtime : OT is available Maintenance Incentive Program: Tool Allowance: $1,000 annual allowance paid out quarterly Call In Premium: Minimum of 4 hours pay, plus an additional $150.00 Weekend Workday Bonus : $75 bonus credit for each Saturday or Sunday you work, paid out annually. Sign-on Bonus: $3,000

Requirements

  • Minimum (7) years industrial maintenance experience with at least (2) years in management (Supervisory or Lead experience.
  • In depth technical knowledge and strong practical experience in mechanical, fabrication, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics and controls, and trouble shooting.
  • Demonstrated experience building and training a maintenance team.
  • Demonstrated experience with predictive and preventative maintenance programs, and computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic who operates with a sense of urgency.
  • Upbeat, calm, and steady demeanor working with people under pressure in fast paced environments, able to work the problem methodically.
  • Highly organized, ability to juggle multiple initiatives with excellent attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, or similarly relevant technical discipline or some combination of equivalent education, training and experience including an associate's degree in an engineering or technical discipline.
  • Food Processing Experience
  • Knowledge and practical experience in LEAN.
  • Knowledge of maintenance best practices in the industry
  • Strong intermediate to advanced skills with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • EHS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with operations, production, and maintenance management teams and hourly workforce supporting company objectives.
  • Providing critical information for analysis and recommendations.
  • Identify, communicate, and address areas of concern.
  • Use CMMS, MVP One, to oversee assignment, execution, and record keeping for daily PM and M&R work orders and projects for equipment and physical plant.
  • Evaluate, improve, and sustain a highly responsive maintenance request program to complete work according to plans, time, and budget.
  • Act as technical expert, trainer, and consultant for team to optimize troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Provide hands on assistance to maintenance team in completion of PM and M&R work as needed.
  • Achieve or exceed KPIs.
  • Conduct consistent and disciplined review of KPIs.
  • Promptly investigate shortfalls and analyze ways to improve plant operations and OEE while stabilizing improvements.
  • Control monthly maintenance spending in support of Clydes cost conscious culture.
  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance shop and parts room exercising careful oversight over equipment, inventory, and supplies.
  • Act with optimism to instill a positive and professional team culture Committed to productivity, continuous improvement, safety, food safety and quality.
  • Promptly address performance issues and hold employees accountable for results.
  • Address personal complaints to resolve problems.
  • Keep employees informed.
  • Trail employees to standards and to increase their skills.
  • Monitor and enforce safe work standards and procedures.
  • Complete daily safety inspection.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and accident investigations implementing re-training and corrective actions.
  • Maintain plant floor organization and good housekeeping.
  • Monitor, enforce, and comply with food safety/quality requirements and GMPs, reporting issues to the Production Manager, Director of Food Safety or Director of Quality.
  • Master Company policies, procedures, and cultural norms.
  • Hold team accountable for compliance with the letter and spirit of these requirements while acting as a role model and coach.
