About The Position

Epsilon is a leader in the Off-Site Construction (OSC) industry, delivering mechanical/electrical-centric systems in a modular, prefabricated form, optimized for a streamlined on-site completion by us or others. Position Summary The Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing all plant maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, facilities, and utilities within the OSC manufacturing environment. This role leads preventive maintenance programs, coordinates repairs, supports production uptime, and drives continuous improvement across mechanical, electrical, and fabrication systems. The Maintenance Lead acts as the primary technical resource for equipment reliability and works cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Safety, and Materials teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing or fabrication
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Experience with welding and fabrication equipment maintenance
  • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals
  • Leadership or lead technician experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in modular construction / OSC environment
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • CMMS system experience
  • Certifications in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Maintain uptime for fabrication equipment including: Structural fabrication equipment Welding systems CNC equipment Pipe fabrication tools Sheet metal machinery Material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, conveyors)
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures
  • Prioritize and execute corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Maintain maintenance logs, service history, and asset records
  • Lead and schedule maintenance technicians and contractors
  • Establish daily maintenance priorities aligned with production needs
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support when required
  • Develop skill progression plans for maintenance staff
  • Enforce safety and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns
  • Partner with Production Leads to prevent recurring failures
  • Support equipment setup for new product lines and process changes
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning
  • Oversee building systems including: Compressed air Electrical distribution HVAC Water systems Dust collection
  • Manage vendor relationships for specialized repairs and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and facility safety standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime
  • Drive standardization of maintenance procedures
  • Support capital projects and equipment installations
  • Track maintenance KPIs such as: Downtime Mean time between failure (MTBF) Mean time to repair (MTTR) Maintenance cost per labor hour
