About The Position

Our Fairfield Inn & Suites located in Littleton, CO is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Hotel Maintenance Supervisor to run our maintenance department. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of upkeep or repair operations of the hotel property. An excellent maintenance supervisor must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. They must have technical skills and knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing etc. Leadership and knowledge of administrative tasks such as scheduling are also essential. Their primary goal is to ensure that property grounds, building facilities and guest rooms are in good and safe conditions at all times. This position is ideal for the person who is outgoing, enjoys a diverse work environment and is interested in learning other aspects of the hotel business through cross-training Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Requirements

• Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar role
• Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.)
• Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations
• Understanding of budgeting and performance management
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities
• An eye for detail
• Computer savvy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma
• Must possess and maintain a valid Food Handler Card as required by local regulations is mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety.
• Must have the ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment, and remain on one's feet for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• Degree from a vocational school will be a plus
• Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are preferred

Responsibilities

• Promote Company Mission, Vision and Core Values.
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
• Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
• Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
• Contribute to the development of the maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
• Coordination of projects (e.g. renovations).
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
• Practice safe working conditions per OSHA guidelines.
• Practice safe chemical handling as prescribed in Material Safety and Data Sheets.
• Follow proper grooming, uniform, and appearance guidelines.
• Adhere to all company policies & procedures & brand standards.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on all guest rooms twice a year following the PM checklist.
• Check Maintenance Manager email daily for communications and utilize the drive to track projects (PM, pool logs etc).
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
