About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily aircraft maintenance operations to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time performance in compliance with company and FAA regulations. This role leads and coordinates maintenance personnel, troubleshooting activities, inspections, and documentation while ensuring proper staffing, tooling, and material support for each shift. The Maintenance Supervisor serves as the on-site leader, maintaining high safety standards, operational readiness, and effective communication with Maintenance Control and other company departments.

Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency – Demonstrates foundational mechanical and electrical knowledge with a willingness to learn complex systems.
  • Attention to Detail – Carefully follows maintenance instructions and documents work accurately.
  • Strong work ethics and organizational skills
  • Must show proof you are authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be a High School graduate.
  • Must have a valid A&P License
  • Minimum of 5 years Part 121 Aviation Experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to give verbal and written directions to assigned staff.
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk, or hear, and use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, knee, crouch or crawl.
  • The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and outside.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraft.
  • Accomplish aircraft inspections per company procedures
  • Proficient in use of electronic test equipment, voltage or amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation troubleshooting equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders
  • Inspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and tooling
  • Work as a member of a team that will interface with contract maintenance personnel
  • Follow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standards
  • Communicate discrepancies to Maintenance Control department found during inspections and follow directions to troubleshoot and repair faulty conditions
  • Ensure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company and FAA procedures prior to aircraft departure
  • Leads and guides mechanics on advanced tasks
  • Organize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repair of aircraft
  • Coordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work for entire shift
  • Act as shift manager as required
  • Schedule manpower to cover aircraft maintenance and inspections
  • Perform Manual and Aircraft parts inventories as required
  • Assist other company departments to ensure on-time departure of company aircraft
  • Additional duties assigned
