About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, including crew briefings, shift turnover reports, and the accurate collection of time, vacation, and sick leave for subordinates, ensuring compliance with duty time regulations. This role involves assisting in organizing daily work packages with Lead Mechanics and the Planning Department, monitoring task assignments, and ensuring the proper segregation and identification of repair station/customer components. The supervisor must understand and apply relevant manual chapters, assure segregation of cards awaiting parts or tooling, and ensure all maintenance tasks are completed according to company policy. Additionally, the supervisor will assume the duties of a Lead or Temp Lead Mechanic when necessary and perform other assigned duties. The position requires strong leadership, organizational, planning, and communication skills, with an emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, diverse, and safety-conscious environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to sit on average 3 hours per day, stand on average 3 hours per day, walk on average 3 hours per day.
  • Possess the ability to see and follow precise instructions, documents, diagrams, or blueprints.

  • At least 4 years maintenance experience on Boeing transport category aircraft.
  • Open to work any shift and/or any schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Lead maintenance mechanic on a Boeing transport category.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Performs crew briefings to provide information to employees regarding all aspects of customer maintenance request and job requirements.
  • Ensures all shift turnover reports are completed.
  • Responsible for the verification, and accuracy of time collection, vacation, sick leave of subordinates, and compliance with duty time regulations.
  • Assists in the organization the daily work package into a manageable format with the assigned Lead Mechanic and Planning Department personnel.
  • Monitors and follows task/job assignments and status with the assigned Lead Mechanic and Project Manager.
  • Ensures segregation and identification of repair station/customer components.
  • Understanding and applying the chapters and sections of this manual that apply to his or her position.
  • Assures segregation of all cards awaiting parts or tooling in a specified area of the card rack.
  • Ensures completion of all maintenance tasks in accordance with company policy.
  • Assumes the duties of the assigned Lead or Temp Lead Mechanic in their absence.
  • Perform additional duties as may be assigned.
