About The Position

We are looking to add a Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd shift to our plant in Carlisle, PA. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising the work of Maintenance Technicians. Delegating work orders and preventive maintenance orders to the Maintenance Technicians. Expected hours of work 40 hours a week with possibility of overtime, variable shifts. Travel for training or other plant observations when necessary. The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the efficient operation and management of the maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, workplace safety, and operational continuity. This role involves planning, coordinating and supervising maintenance activities, scheduling repairs, and supporting preventative maintenance programs. The supervisor also provides leadership and guidance to staff, monitors performance, ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory standards, and problem solving and decision making are facilitated. Additionally, they collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations to optimize processes, manage resources, and address technical challenges, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Requirements

  • Know and understand the technical, engineering and quality requirements of the facility
  • Computer skills required: SAP/CMMS & purchasing Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams & Power Point AutoCAD
  • Read and interpret vendor manuals and drawings
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with shop floor personnel, vendors, OEM suppliers, and management personnel
  • Perform some level of cost analysis and work within a structured budget
  • Write detailed repair reports
  • Develop and deliver a clear and concise presentation when required

  • Complete familiarization with all safety rules and procedures to include the hazards in Plant 4
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical and/or Industrial Engineering
  • 3-5 years of industrial manufacturing and maintenance experience

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with maintenance and production to improve standard work that impacts our equipment and quality.
  • Ownership of maintenance coordination efforts, including the advancement of planning, scheduling, and inventory control.
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner and Reliability Engineer to create standard work procedures to ensure preventative maintenance (PM) and WOs are executed accurately. Standardize PM instructions to maximize the impact of the PM and efficiency of the technician.
  • Work with the Maintenance Scheduler prioritizing WOs in the backlog.
  • Assist team with PM Optimization and auditing of maintenance processes.
  • Identify obsolete equipment/components within the plant and work to find modern equivalent replacements.
  • Support project engineering with project prioritization for the plant and use data to build project justification.
  • Work with the maintenance team to determine individual training needs and develop programs to keep skills up to date with current standards.
  • Support COS improvement initiatives.
  • Support Safety Initiatives
  • Ensure Company and Departmental policies are being followed by the maintenance team.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
