About The Position

TMC Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily activities of a maintenance team to ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and equipment within a facility. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and organizational abilities. This role is critical to maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring the longevity of an organization's assets. Must have experience with a Paper Cutter Machine

Requirements

• Experience: requires several years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Education: A high school diploma or GED is standard, while a vocational school degree, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, PLCs, motor controls, and general building systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) is crucial.
• Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for managing a team and coordinating with other departments. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, along with keen attention to detail, are also vital.
• Certifications: Industry certifications such as the Certified Maintenance or OSHA certifications are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: Lead, supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics, including conducting performance evaluations and managing staff schedules and assignments.
• Maintenance Planning & Execution: Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules to minimize equipment downtime. Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities and work orders to address production needs efficiently.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, and actively participate in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in a timely manner.
• Safety and Compliance: Enforce all health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards, including OSHA guidelines, to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and lead incident investigations.
• Inventory & Budget Management: Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies. Participate in budget preparation and track expenditures to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Collaboration and Reporting: Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, engineering) to minimize operational disruptions. Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports for upper management on equipment performance and maintenance activities.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, TPM practices) to enhance efficiency and reliability of equipment and processes.
