Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) from an accredited educational institution.
  • Ideally, 5+ years of experience in pipeline maintenance or similar oil & gas role.
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record to drive company and personal vehicles to perform required tasks.
  • Work extended hours, as needed, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain HAZWOPER and Operator Qualification certifications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communicator and team builder.
  • Proficient in systems like Maximo, Oracle Procurement, and Enablon.
  • Skilled in budgeting, decision-making, and performance management.
  • Commitment to consistently adhere to policies and procedures and be a positive example for others by demonstrating the Company’s core values of Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Safety, and Excellence in completing work assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field of study from an accredited technical college or university.
  • Leadership experience within Colonial Pipeline.
  • Forklift training/licensing, hazardous waste operations, or electrician license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of up to 12 technicians.
  • Coordinate schedules, assign tasks, and manage performance.
  • Drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate hiring, onboarding, and training programs.
  • Function as the key liaison between technical teams and operations.
  • Prioritize and resolve maintenance issues with minimal operational disruption.
  • Support new projects and process improvements.
  • Manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
  • Monitor adherence to federal, state, and company regulations.
  • Conduct audits and maintain accurate records.
  • Promote a safety-first mindset across all tasks and projects.
  • Lead hands-on troubleshooting and repair of industrial systems.
  • Support facility operations with expertise in electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
