About The Position

Apartment Management Professionals, LLC (AMP Residential) is seeking to hire a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team at Timberview Apartments, a community with 338 apartments located in Grand Haven, MI. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for safeguarding the owners' interests by maintaining the physical condition of the property and equipment according to company guidelines and standards, protecting assets from damage, loss, and deterioration. This role involves assessing and directing service staff and making recommendations to ownership regarding cost containment and asset preservation. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, team-oriented, and possesses a strong work ethic.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Supervisory experience in Facility Maintenance
  • Prior multi-family experience; preferably 1+ years
  • Valid Driver's License with auto insurance
  • Hard worker with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service, comfortable with conflict resolution
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
  • Extensive knowledge of plumbing, appliance repair, water heaters, a/c units, furnaces
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Available for on-call purposes/snow removal
  • Flexibility and ability to work weekends when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Certified
  • Knowledge and experience with pools, CPO
  • Experience with capital improvement projects

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vacant apartment homes
  • Complete property work orders while providing efficient, friendly service
  • Accept on-call responsibilities (rotated schedule)
  • Follow preventive maintenance guidelines
  • Team building and development of the maintenance staff
  • Establishes daily work schedules for maintenance staff
  • Assists in all aspects of the property’s maintenance, including grounds, custodial, preventive, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors and professionals servicing the Company or property
  • Use different skillsets: such as, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance and all other service requests
  • Implement and uphold community policies and safety procedures
  • Maintain property operations and the physical asset
  • Lead maintenance team while collaborating with the property manager
  • Planning maintenance schedules and task assignment
  • Overseeing large scale capital projects
