Together, we pursue a shared mission to create a more sustainable future. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians at the SPSC manufacturing site. This is a key role in the maintenance department, ensuring the team practices precision maintenance, participates in the work flow process, completes assigned scheduled work, and provides excellent customer service to the operations teams. This is a great role for a person with a technical background (maintenance/engineering technician, manufacturing/project engineer) looking for leadership experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in water/wastewater treatment
  • Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years of PVC plumbing or mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training.
  • Minimum of 2 year experience in a Leadership role
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record history
  • Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work in a range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
  • Ability and willingness to travel for install and repair if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 3 years of Electrical install, repair, and maintenance work experience to include electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and maintenance experience.
  • Water treatment processes and chemistry.
  • Regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Preventive maintenance best practices.
  • Safety protocols and environmental standards.
  • Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form.
  • Directs and coordinates maintenance activities across water treatment facilities.
  • Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for water treatment equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, water quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Oversees maintenance of pumps, motors, chemical feed systems, and filtration equipment.
  • Monitors and optimizes plant performance through SCADA systems.
  • Develops and manages maintenance budgets.
  • Implements asset management strategies.
  • Coordinates with operations teams to minimize service disruptions.
  • Maintains detailed maintenance records and documentation.
  • Ability and willingness to read documents and implement such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Accountable, reliable and thorough.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Assists the Maintenance Technicians in performing proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems and preventative maintenance programs on all assigned machinery.
  • Installs or directs the installation of new equipment or rearranges existing equipment.
  • Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep the plant in good running order.
  • Leads by example and practices good safety procedures in order to keep self and others injury free. Follows EHS policies and procedures.
  • Performs and/or directs preventative maintenance on plant facilities and equipment as well as Mobile/Service DI water treatment equipment.
  • Provides leadership to the Maintenance staff and directs the maintenance operations
  • Other duties as assigned.
