The successful candidate will have outstanding skills and will be committed to working with others to deliver best in class, unparalleled excellence in customer service and satisfaction. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, however, various hours may be required based on business demand. This position serves on a rotating on-call schedule to respond to maintenance emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays. Responsible for daily support activities, including:

Requirements

High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
8 years of facility operations and maintenance experience including 5 years of facility operations and maintenance supervisory experience in a technical field.
In addition to education/experience, 5 years of progressive career experience in industrial, pharmaceutical, biomedical, or research & development facility maintenance.
Technical knowledge of industrial electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to prioritize, assign, track, and trend equipment history.
Experience with developing, managing, and presenting KPI'S.
Working knowledge of purchasing and/or utilizing and managing subcontracts or vendors.
Staff management experience, including disciplinary action, hiring, terminating, and performance appraisals.
Ability to pass a medical evaluation for respirator use and be able to successfully complete a fit test for several types of respirators.
Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client's location.
Ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen. Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Repetitive motions: bend, stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach, wrist movement.
Walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.
Work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions
Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.
Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.

Nice To Haves

Technical degree preferred.
Experience working in a GMP or similar regulated environment such as hospitals, biomedical or pharmaceutical campuses.
Ability to read and understand repair manuals, specifications, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
Experience working with heavy industrial or manufacturing plant steam systems, centrifugal chillers, air handling units, turbines, boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, air dryers, heat exchangers, exhaust systems, pneumatic controls, and building automation control systems.
Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); EAMS experience is a plus.
Experience interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead a team of skilled technicians that support the monthly workload to ensure satisfactory completion of assignments in support of established company goals.
Maintain predictive and proactive maintenance programs to ensure uptime and site reliability.
Manage and escalate predictive maintenance findings to ensure equipment reliability and downtime avoidance.
Perform routine walk downs of job activities to ensure all safety protocols are being met.
Maintain and understand the partnership between client and owner and keep a positive client relationship.
Delegate and obtain accountability and results from employees and ensure specific career goals are set, and necessary disciplinary actions are taken.
Provide support to building operations and maintenance teams to sustain low operating costs.
Plan and supervise daily building or mechanical systems maintenance operations.
Supervise maintenance staff, assist in interviewing and hiring; train new employees; plan and issue daily work assignments; monitor work in progress and check completed work; assist with difficult or unusual tasks.
Supervise, and assist with all regular and special functions, activities, and projects of the maintenance team, including ongoing preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, major and minor repairs.
Support maintenance of operations for critical building mechanical support systems.
Implement and support programs for preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
Understand equipment issues and designate appropriate skilled trade to repair or diagnose to repair.
Manage maintenance planning and scheduling.
Exhibit strong customer relations and client partnering mentality.
Manage consistent daily communication with customer and contract Program Manager, with an action plan on resolutions.
Manage key performance indicators (KPI's).
Project continuous improvement in support of budgetary initiatives.
Track and mitigate potential compliance issues.
Provide safety leadership in support of an accident-free workplace through planning tools and use of JHA's, THA's, LOTO, hot work, and other established safety programs.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills such as team building, anticipation of operational needs, delegate effectively, and implement company and client policies.
Administer Performance Management, including annual goal setting.
Implement timely disciplinary action when needed.
Provide mentoring and training to team members.
Comply with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Planning and Scheduling of all technician maintenance and repair activities through Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or other maintenance management systems.
Other duties as assigned by management.
