About The Position

Join the team at a 600-unit Class B residential apartment community in beautiful Palm Beach Gardens as a Maintenance Supervisor. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee a skilled maintenance team while staying actively involved in day-to-day operations. You'll have the opportunity to drive operational excellence, mentor team members, and make a direct impact on resident satisfaction through effective maintenance management and strategic planning.

Requirements

  • EPA Certification (required)
  • CPO Certification (required)
  • Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in apartment or multifamily maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and capital improvement management
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in work order management systems and basic computer skills
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing large multifamily communities (500+ units)
  • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance background
  • Budget management and financial planning experience
  • Knowledge of property management software systems
  • Additional certifications in building systems or maintenance trades

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of 5 maintenance professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance management
  • Manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment longevity and minimize emergency repairs
  • Oversee daily work order processing, prioritization, and completion to maintain resident satisfaction
  • Assist with capital improvement projects from planning through execution, ensuring quality and budget adherence
  • Maintain comprehensive maintenance records and documentation for compliance and operational tracking
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and develop maintenance strategies to optimize community appearance and functionality
  • Manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Coordinate with property management on resident requests and maintenance priorities
  • Participate in hands-on maintenance work as needed to support team operations
