About The Position

To support this mission, Syngenta is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent in Omaha, NE. This role will lead maintenance organizations, including Supervisors, Planners, Technicians, I/E Specialists, and Electricians.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 7+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years supervisory experience.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management systems.
  • Experience with CMMS and reliability programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop high-performing maintenance teams including Supervisors, Planners, Technicians, I/E Specialists, and Electricians through mentoring, skill development, performance management, and career advancement.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration across all maintenance operations.
  • Manage daily maintenance activities, work order execution, planning, scheduling, and parts management to optimize maintenance best practices and minimize production disruptions.
  • Monitor and improve maintenance KPIs, equipment reliability, and availability through preventive/corrective maintenance programs and root cause analysis for critical equipment.
  • Champion a zero-incident safety culture by ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, leading by example, and driving a safety-first mindset across all teams.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and resources effectively to support organizational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement innovative maintenance solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Serve as primary liaison between maintenance and other departments, building strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and leadership while communicating strategies, performance, and cross-functional project initiatives.
