Job Summary Eagle Ford Overview The liquids-rich Eagle Ford tight oil trend, located in the Western Gulf Coast Basin of south Texas, represents the company’s second-most prolific unconventional resource development. ConocoPhillips was one of the first companies into the liquids play, resulting in a low-cost entry into this acreage. In 2009, the company began exploring the development potential of this play and by year-end 2023 held approximately 199,000 net unconventional leasehold and mineral acres, primarily in DeWitt, Karnes and Live Oak counties. We hold approximately 484,000 unconventional net acres in the Eagle Ford, located in south Texas. The current focus is on full-field development, using customized well spacing and stacking patterns adapted through reservoir analysis. We operated seven rigs and two frac crews on average during 2024, resulting in 182 operated wells drilled and 154 operated wells brought online. During 2024, net production in 2024 averaged 244 MBOED. Position Overview This position will serve as the Maintenance Specialist within the Maintenance & Reliability department and report to the Stabilizer Maintenance Supervisor. This team supports the Helena Stabilizer, Sugarloaf Stabilizer, and Sugarloaf Compressor Station PSM sites. The Maintenance Specialist provides on‑site technical expertise, ensuring safe, reliable execution of maintenance activities while driving equipment optimization and supporting field operations.

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Current/Valid driver's license
  • 5 or more years of experience in compression, rotating equipment, process & production equipment, and maintenance programs
  • 3 or more years in oil and gas production and processing
  • Currently reside or are willing to relocate within a 40-mile driving radius of Kenedy, TX
  • Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform/align with following: Climb various ladders and stairs to perform maintenance on equipment, Raise and transport items weighing up to 50 lbs, Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain, Work outside in harsh weather conditions, Work alone a high percentage of the time, Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), Be on call, Work unscheduled overtime

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of experience with Prometheus planning /scheduling software
  • Extensive knowledge of oil and gas operations, gas compression, gas dehydration, pumps, and surface facilities maintenance
  • Basic level of proficiency in developing maintenance schedules
  • Basic level of knowledge working in PSM facility
  • Basic level of proficiency (perform the skill with limited assistance) with Word, Excel, SAP
  • Delivers results through realistic planning to accomplish goals
  • Ability to collect accurate and meaningful data, extract trends for useful information to help improve operations
  • Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by courageously dealing with important problems, holding others accountable, and standing up for what is right

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that maintenance work is executed in a safe and competent manner in compliance with COP HSE policies
  • Provide accurate feedback on job executions to enhance planning and scheduling efficiencies
  • Will be the technical field resource for maintenance
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting and repairs
  • Assist with the defect elimination process associated with equipment repairs
  • Assist the Maintenance Lead with equipment optimization and reliability
  • Identify maintenance work and initiate SAP work notifications.
  • Participate in HAZOP, MOC, & PSSR (Pre-Startup Safety Reviews)
  • Develop close working relationship with operations and maintenance personnel to promote safety and ensure quality workmanship
  • Utilize individuals’ skillset and tools to promote Safety Leadership within the group
  • Be proactive in developing new ideas & opportunities to achieve lower maintenance costs
  • Work closely with the Planning & Scheduling group to develop preventative maintenance plans to improve equipment reliability and work execution
  • Assist with condition base monitoring efforts to enhance equipment availability and run time
  • Work to eliminate communication gaps between peer groups
  • Work with all the M&R groups to develop cross functional roles and responsibilities
