ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Issue, receive, and track tools, equipment, and supplies used by production and maintenance personnel Maintain accurate records of tool issuance, returns, and inventory levels using manual or electronic systems Inspect tools and equipment for damage, wear, or defects; remove unsafe tools from service Clean, organize, label, and store tools in designated locations to maintain an orderly tool crib Ensure tools and equipment are readily available to support efficient production and maintenance operations Coordinate tool repair, calibration, replacement, or replenishment as needed Monitor inventory levels and notify supervision of shortages, damaged tools, or ordering needs Enforce tool control, accountability, and sign‑out procedures Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction, and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized tool crib area in compliance with safety standards Assist employees in identifying correct tools and equipment for tasks Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements Support continuous improvement, cost control, and loss prevention efforts Perform other tasks as assigned by management Adhere to all rules and regulations, at all times Meet or exceed company safety standards
