About The Position

The Maintenance Specialist maintains all organizational housing and equipment through direct maintenance or coordination of outside repair agencies for Synova Group. This position requires the ability to have a flexible schedule, with likelihood of work weeks in excess of 40 hours and will include on-call evenings, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Move frequently throughout the day.
Read, write, and speak English sufficiently to perform the duties and communicate effectively with staff, consumers and management.
See or hear, with or without prosthetic devices, sufficiently to perform the duties.
Meet the licensing, contractual and other mandated requirements of the state and county.
Possess a valid driver’s license, access to an insured vehicle, and a clean driving record.
Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant; demonstrate initiative, creative problem-solving, and adaptability.
Develop and maintain courteous relationships with consumers, families, public employees, media and agency personnel.
Demonstrate positive demeanor.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
Experience with workplace/facility safety.
Experience working with people with special needs a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the repair of or repairs all exterior and interior components of Synova housing, furniture, furnishings and fixtures, appliances, vehicles, offices and other physical assets.
Perform routine maintenance such as changing locks, painting, snow removal, etc.
Conduct housing inspections according to policy and procedure.
Fully assist in the coordination and completion of moving individuals and their belongings to designated facilities.
Assists with drywall patches and trim replacement.
Proactively advise the Facilities Operations Director, on any maintenance needs, operational systems, equipment or tool needs.
Proactivity maintain MaintainX operations software, fully utilizing appropriate feature which lead to efficient maintenance, repairs and replacement of all company assets.
Maintains tools, trucks, and work areas to Synova standards.
Maintain and forward all receipts for purchase made for any operations on maintenance needs, regularly turning in receipts and expense reports.
Ensure job site maintains safety standards and is prepared for occupancy by clients daily.
Appropriately represents Synova Group in all transactions.
Other duties as assigned.
