About The Position

McConway & Torley is currently searching for a Maintenance Scheduling Clerk. In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling maintenance work orders, ensuring timely preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This position serves as a critical liaison between the maintenance team, operations, and other departments to help optimize maintenance productivity and minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
1–3 years of experience in a maintenance, administrative, or scheduling role.
Experience with CMMS software (e.g., SAP, MP2, Maximo) strongly preferred.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance terminology.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong data entry and record-keeping skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.

Responsibilities

Schedule preventive and corrective maintenance tasks based on priority, technician availability, and production schedules.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, service requests, parts usage, and labor hours in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Coordinate with maintenance supervisors and technicians to assign daily tasks and update schedules accordingly.
Monitor and track work order completion and follow up on delayed or incomplete tasks.
Assist with procurement of maintenance supplies and parts when necessary.
Generate reports on maintenance performance, backlog, and equipment history.
Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and maintenance policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal departments regarding maintenance needs and schedules.
