About The Position

The role of the Maintenance SAP Planner is to implement, and or maintain and continuously improve the Maintenance Work Planning & Scheduling DMS for their dept(s), and to provide a continuity link to other PM systems. The maintenance planner is responsible for coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance activities with the plant maintenance technicians and outside contractors for the plant processing and packaging systems. The maintenance planner will use the AMM module in SAP to schedule, track, document and report on maintenance activities on these plant systems. This position will also support the development of a documented bill of materials for all plant processing and packaging equipment and will work with the parts room team to assign criticality levels to all spare inventory items for this equipment. Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule Maintenance Work
  • Review and prioritize notifications within 24 hours of generation.
  • Plans and generates PM’s for plant maintenance technicians.
  • Review completed PM’s for accuracy and ensures work orders are closed out.
  • Review and screen requests for corrective work. Assure work is needed.
  • Work with internal and external resources to support determining scope of work and costs.
  • Assign and plan work to be completed.
  • Coordinate work with plant schedules.
  • Generate reports to evaluate processing and packaging work; completeness and accuracy; backlog/work load; trends and opportunities.
  • Ensure the revision and updating of “Maintenance Technical Documentation” occurs as necessary
  • Develop and update annual maintenance plan
  • Planning for the plant and warehouse
  • Maintains daily / monthly budget
  • Leads maintenance clerks in daily activities
  • Performs store room reports / daily numbers updating to global maintenance site
  • Leads the maintenance KHMS chapters, reviews part inventory min max reports.
  • Track and Report Maintenance Indicator Results and In Process Measures
  • Maintenance indicator results & in process measures are tracked and kept current
  • Activities or the lack there of, which drive maintenance indicator results in the wrong direction are corrected or brought to the attention of the appropriate resource
  • Results of maintenance indicators and in process measures are used to assess the progress of the Maintenance Planning & Scheduling System and to determine equipment reliability
  • Develop Improvement Plans
  • Improvements are identified through the tracking of Maintenance Indicators & In Process Measures
  • Losses are identified and “Improvement Themes” developed to eliminate losses.
  • Improvement Theme action plans are owned, developed, and tracked by the maintenance planner
  • Champion and Lead the Continuous Improvement Process/KHMS
  • Ensures all equipment design change proposals (corrective maintenance), Add /Delete/Modify work follows the Change Management Procedures
  • All work executed is critiqued and work plans updated or revised as necessary
  • Maintenance Technical Documentation and equipment drawings and schematics are complete, accurate, easy to find and easy to use
  • Work with store room in order to identify obsolete parts, off quality parts, ideal in stock numbers, required delivery time of parts, etc.
