What you’ll do at DBH : Performs skilled & semi-skilled maintenance, replacement, minor installation & repair of plumbing equipment, electrical equipment, carpentry work involving alteration &/or repair to buildings, equipment & wooden structures Performs spot roof repair & installs security devices, locks & window air conditioners. Escort contractors per hospital-wide new tool control policy/procedures. Assists in &/or performs minor painting of fixtures, rooms, buildings, signs & equipment Patches plaster & prepares surfaces for painting; assists in masonry work. Operates machine tools & welding equipment in making repairs to metal parts & equipment Assists in repair & maintenance of interior & exterior maintenance equipment & other specialized equipment Completes & maintains work related documentation Performs other related duties as required This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union) , with a pay range of #5 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule . Normal working hours are 7\:00am - 3\:30pm. This position is located within our Heartland Behavioral Healthcare campus at 3000 Erie Street South, Massillon, OH 44646 . Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
